             Sagaya Nagar Parish was established from 12 sub-stations sourced from Susaiapparpattanam, Andichoorani, and Sarugani. It was formally established as a new parish and entrusted to the Salesians of Don Bosco on the 8th of December 1989. The Bosco Maiyam at Pallithammam serves as its central hub. In addition to the 28.85 acres provided by the diocese, the Salesians have acquired an additional 9.41 acres for developmental projects. The presbytery was constructed and consecrated on the 18th of November 1990. Three Salesians are actively engaged in pastoral activities. To provide education to rural boys and girls, alongside existing village schools, the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School commenced operations on the 10th of June 1991. Additionally, a non-formal Technical Institute is currently under construction and will be operational soon.
