History

            The C.K. Mangalam parish was established in 1988 under the leadership of Most Reverend S. Edward Francis. Before its establishment, it functioned as a sub-station of the Orikkottai parish. Currently, it oversees 14 sub-stations, primarily located in remote areas. To foster an active Catholic community and effective pastoral care, the parish has been divided into three zones, each comprising 4 to 5 villages. Within this parish, several lay leaders play a pivotal role, assisting the parish priest in organizing devout associations and managing the parish council.
